ANEMOIA is an independent brand from Coimbra, Portugal. We are an archive of beautiful forgotten things — the places, the machines, the graphics that time quietly walked past.
Chapter 01 — Reims-Gueux
Between 1926 and 1972 the villages of Gueux, Thillois and Garenne were joined by a triangle of public road that became one of the fastest circuits in the world. Fangio won here. Hawthorn won here. The main straight ran flat-out for nearly two kilometres of champagne vines.
Then, quietly, it stopped. The road went back to being a road. The grandstands stayed. The pit lane stayed. The sponsor boards stayed, painted on concrete.
The grandstands are still waiting.
We drove there in March. We photographed everything. We came back with a small collection of objects — a cap, and a lightweight tee.
